Just about out the door. Running late. Hmmmm. Are there any nutritious and yummy breakfast snacks I can grab? Pantry door open. Looking… No! There are cereal crumbs on the shelf and… I can’t believe it! The containers are not lined up and the lids are not closed all the way!
Haven’t I trained my kids and hubby better than that? Don’t they care that I like to have the cereal containers straightened and placed on the correct pantry shelf? I should wake up the kids now to let them know, in case they forgot. Or, I should write it on my calendar to call them later and remind them, so that I am considerate of their sleep needs. Why weren’t they considerate of MY needs?
Ok, get a grip! What is the goal here? Is it orderly pantries or valued relationships? Do I really want my daughters in therapy later in life because of a misaligned cereal container?
Stop. Check attitude. Remember how much you love the people in your life. Ok, NOW I’m ready for my day. 😀
Wait, one more thing. Make note on calendar to “Check attitude before starting day.”
Ooh, it's like little thumbnail blogs! Perfect for when you're on the go.
You know, if it were me, I would question how much everyone else values the relationship if they can't understand how important it is to align the cereal boxes and close the lids for me. It's not a difficult thing to do!
(Says the person no longer in a relationship. Ignore me, please.)
